The Homeowner Repairs Assistance Program 1. Amount: Maximum of $25,000 per homeowner for projects that correct housing orders 2. Program Match: None 3. Income Limit: up to 80 percent area median income 4. Eligible properties: Owner-occupied 1-3 units in Minneapolis such as single-family homes, duplexes, individual condominiums, townhomes, co-operatives or any other owner-occupied 1-3 unit home that meets Minneapolis zoning code. 5. Eligible Recipients: owners of 1-3 unit properties within Minneapolis who meet the program guideline criteria: low-income homeowners who have received orders on their property from a Minneapolis Housing Inspector and are unable to abate the order due to significant barriers. The resident is referred to a Housing Liaison from a Housing Inspector or other City Department. 6. Requirements: Property taxes must be current and mortgage payments (where applicable) can be no more than 2 months delinquent. Property owners with mortgages must have homeowner’s insurance.
