The selected consultant will be expected to: 1. Prospect Research: o Perform prospect research on private funding sources to identify foundations, businesses, corporations, and high net worth individuals with potential interest in supporting Minnesota State through major gifts ($10 million-$50 million plus). o Conduct interviews and other research to assess interest and capacity among these prospects to support Minnesota State’s strategic priority areas through major gifts ($10 million-$50 million plus). 2. Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate philanthropic capacity, donor alignment, and system readiness for transformational giving. 3. Strategic Recommendations: Develop actionable recommendations for cultivating, soliciting, managing, stewarding and retaining transformational gifts at the system level.
