Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Solicitation is to secure snow removal and ice control services at the Faribault -Armed Force Reserve Center (AFRC) and Faribault-National Guard Armory (NGA). Clearing of the sidewalks will not be required at this site. On a ‘will call’ basis, upon request or if and as needed, the vendor will be responsible to furnish and apply sand/salt to the ‘Snow Removal’ area. Sand/salt mixture shall be a 3/1 ratio of sand to salt or MN DOT approved liquid de-icing salt brine agents Thawrox, Ice Ban, Geo Melt and Road Guard Plus 8. Sand/salt mixture shall meet the MN/DOT specifications #3910 for Regular Road Salt and MN DOT Anti-Icing Guide for liquid de-icing. The awarded vendor will be advised by the State’s Authorized Representative as to what locations will be sanded and salted. Sand/Salt will be billed per occurrence per facility location. Response time: Response time for “Sand/Salt” service must be within six (6) hours. The estimated quantity of Sand/Salt services are listed in Line 3 of the solicitation. The State will not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity of sand/salt services. The awarded Vendor shall not be paid for services not received.
