• The University will select one dental program third party administrator that provides the best value for employees and the University in terms of effective claims administration and customer service, stable, well-managed networks, financial stability, and continuity of care for employees, retirees, and dependents. • Bidders are required to quote on both options (A/Narrow network and B/Broad network) within the current program. Bidders are also encouraged to suggest alternateplan designs that may address University needs in a more cost-effective manner. Bids and responses to an alternate plan design should be separate from the required bid. • The current contract is self-insured, and all bidders must submit a self-insured proposal. • The desired benefit design for employees is shown briefly below and in detail on the Summary of Benefits for Dental Coverage for the University of Minnesota document (attached)
