Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snowplowing: 1. Contractor must furnish all snowplowing and sanding equipment as well as all transportation, equipment, fuel, labor, tools, supplies, and all else necessary to complete work to specifications. 2. Snowplowing areas: a. Employee and visitor parking areas and Warba lot trail: Snowplowing will be done whenever the snowfall is 1 inch or greater. Areas to be plowed by 6:00 a.m. See yellow highlighted areas on the map located on page 10. b. Backlot areas: Snowplowing will be done whenever the snowfall is 3 inches or greater. Areas to be plowed by 6:00 a.m. See blue highlighted areas on the site map located on page 10. 3. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide a telephone number for communication. The DNR may contact the telephone number provided to cancel or request plowing for a snowfall. 4. Snow will be pushed to areas designated by project supervisor (Jean Dolensek 218-328-8953). Salt / Sand: 1. Contractor must furnish all salt/sand and equipment to spread. 2. Visitor and employee parking areas and Warba lot trail will be salt/sanded after each snowplowing. 3. Salt/sanding in the backlot areas will be at the request of the DNR project supervisor or her representative on a call as needed basis. 4. Other: 1. No work shall commence on this agreement until contractor receives notice to proceed. 2. Contractor to furnish all necessary equipment, fuel, labor, tools, supplies, and all else necessary to complete work. 3. Contractor will not subcontract any part of the work. 4. Prior to work commences, the DNR project supervisor will meet with the contractor to review performance standards. 5. All work shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Department of Natural Resources project supervisor. 6. Work and performance not meeting specification and not to the satisfaction of the DNR project supervisor shall be just cause for the State to terminate contract. 7. Contractor is responsible for cost to repair excessive damage to sod and grass. DNR project supervisor will be the final determination if damage is excessive. 8. Contractor is responsible for all cost to repair damage caused by contractor to road and parking surfaces, structures, power and other utility lines and all other damages.
