Specifications include, but are not limited to: General Information:1. No work shall commence on this agreement until Contractor receives Notice to Proceed.2. Prior to work commencing, the DNR Project Supervisor will meet with the Contractor to review performance standards.3. All work shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Department of Natural Resources Project Supervisor.4. Work and performance not meeting specification and not to the satisfaction of the DNR Project Supervisor shall be just cause for the State to terminate contract.5. Contractor shall not subcontract any part of the work under this agreement.6. Contractor is responsible for cost to repair excessive damage caused by Contractor to sod and grass. The Project Supervisor shall be final determination if damage is excessive.7. Contractor is responsible for all cost to repair damage caused by Contractor to road and parking surfaces, structures, power and other utility lines and all other damaged. The Project Supervisor shall determine whether they are repaired or replaced.Snow Removal:1. Contractor must furnish all snow removal equipment such as, but not limited to: pickup truck with snow plow, skid steer snow plow, snow blower, hand shovel, and hand tools. All equipment must be in good condition to avoid excessive down time. All costs of maintenance and operation of equipment will be furnished by the Contractor. The State will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the Contractor.2. Snow removal will be at the request of the DNR Project Supervisor or his/her representative except when snowfall is 3 inches or greater.3. When snowfall exceeds 3 inches, the Contractor shall remove and clear snow from all facility drive entrances and parking areas. Work must be completed after 6:00 PM and before 7:00 AM Monday through Friday.4. When snowfall is 3 inches or greater and DNR determines that snow removal will not be necessary, the DNR will contact the Contractor by 8:00 PM the night before. It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to provide the DNR with a telephone number where Contractor can be reached and message can be left if not answered by Contractor. By the DNR contacting the telephone number provided to cancel snow removal, the DNR shall have no obligation if snow removal is done.5. When plowing is needed as per specifications, plowing shall only be performed once daily unless requested by the Project Supervisor.6. If snowfall warrants plowing after 6:00 PM on Friday, but additional snowfall is expected before Monday at 7:00 AM, the Contractor shall wait to remove snow so as not to incur an additional plowing during non-business hours over the weekend.7. See attached map for designated snow piling, removal and areas to avoid.8. Snow plowing shall avoid placing snow on sidewalks.De-Icing:1. In the event of extended cold temperatures (< 20° F) and ice buildup on the snow removal areas, the Contractor will apply an approved sand/road salt mix to degrade and melt ice.2. The Project Supervisor will contact the Contractor to request all sand/salt applications as necessary.3. Contractor must provide and evenly distribute deicer over areas of ice cover.4. Contractor will endeavor to minimize incidental salt placement on or near lawn or landscape plantings.
