Specifications include, but are not limited to: plan, design, fabricate and install new accessible (universal design), interpretive, theme-based exhibits and displays for the Sibley State Park visitor center. This popular destination park is located in central Minnesota, west of the metropolitan areas of St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sibley State Park receives about 275,000 annual visits to the park and about 15,000 to the visitor center. Exhibit space is 920 square feet. The exhibit space is not always staffed while open to the public. The new visitor center exhibits will tell the story of how climate, from ice ages to carbon pollution, has shaped the resources of Sibley State Park and how people use them. In addition to the visitor center exhibits, this project will include one interactive wayside exhibit at the beach area. This wayside will interpret the Veterans Conservation Corps and Civilian Conservation Corps work in building the original park infrastructure.
