Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MN Department of Natural Resources requests proposals to plan, design, fabricate and install new exhibits for the Lake Carlos Visitor Center at Lake Carlos State Park. This park is a popular destination year-round, receiving 186,000 annual visitors. The visitor center receives an average of 3,000 annual visitors. The exhibits will be housed within and adjacent to the Lake Carlos Visitor Center, which includes one large room with an approximate area of 1,170 square feet and an outdoor 4-sided kiosk. The visitor center is open late spring through early fall and is sometimes unstaffed while open. It is opened in winter for specific programs or events. The kiosk has electricity running to it, and being outdoors, is available for use year-round. The new exhibits shall be accessible, interpretive and theme-driven.
