Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lawn Mowing: 1. Contractor to furnish all lawn care equipment and supplies required to complete the work. All equipment must be in good condition to avoid excessive down time. All costs of maintenance and operation of equipment will be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. The State will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the Contractor. 2. Mowing shall be performed once per week weather-dependent, or upon request of the Project Supervisor or his named representative. a. In the case of drought during the season, the Project Supervisor or his named representative will contact the Contractor for mowing as needed. Vendor will be paid only for each service completed. 3. Lawns must be professionally mowed and trimmed to the satisfaction of the Project Supervisor. 4. Mowing height must be adjusted as needed throughout the season. 5. All twigs, branches, etc. after trimmed must be removed and sidewalks swept/leaf blown. 6. Edging along sidewalks, curbs, and drives will be performed an as needed basis as determined by the Contractor during the mowing season. 7. See map provided on page 18 for designated mowing areas. Snowplowing: 1. Snow plowing shall be performed when snowfall is two inches (2”) or greater, or as requested by the project supervisor or designee. 2. When snowfall is two inches (2”) or greater and DNR determines that plowing will not be necessary, the DNR will contact the contractor by 8:00 pm the night prior. It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to provide the DNR with a telephone number where Contractor can be reached, and message can be left if not answered by Contractor. By the DNR contacting the telephone number provided by the Contractor to cancel plowing for a snowfall, the DNR shall have no obligation if plowing is performed for services canceled by DNR the night prior. 3.
