Specifications include, but are not limited to: The labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to: perform mechanical site preparation within the General Andrews C.C. State Forest. Mulching sites: 5 sites for 46.6 ac Roller chopping sites: 8 sites for 159.4 ac A. All sites are within the General Andrews C.C. State Forest and are young pine stands that were damaged by heavy snow cover from a winter storm in December 2022 B. These stipulations shall consist of furnishing labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform mechanical site preparation. Bidder must bid on all sites within a bid group. C. Bids will be taken on a dollar-per-acre basis. D. No extensions of time will be granted except under extreme or unusual conditions and then only with the written permission of the Project Supervisor. E. Payment will be made to the contractor only upon satisfactory completion of all sites, subject to the specifications and penalties described. Each site must be completed before moving on to the next site. F. The State does not guarantee the exact acreage of each individual site within this contract. Payment will be made on the basis of the number of satisfactorily completed acres at the bid rate per acre. G. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to contact the Project Supervisors to get maps and directions for each site. Request should be made to Project Supervisor and Bidders are encouraged to inspect project sites before submitting bids. H. No rutting or compacting of soils will be allowed. Access roads will be left in good condition, as determined by State personnel. I. The State will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any equipment, supplies or chemicals, nor for any inappropriate application or spillage of chemicals used on this contract. J. The State reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
