Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for rental of one rotary wing aircraft, including fuel truck, fully contractor operated and equipped; Light Helicopters must have a minimum jettisonable payload of 925 pounds and a minimum non-jettisonable payload of 800 pounds and must contain a minimum of 4 passenger seats. Intermediate Helicopters must have a minimum jettisonable payload of 1,275 pounds and a minimum non-jettisonable payload of 1,100 pounds and must contain a minimum of 5 passenger seats. Required Equipment – 2.1.1 One helicopter operated by a qualified pilot 2.1.2 A collapsible fire-fighting bucket 2.1.3 Fuel truck & driver 2.1.4 Support personnel 2.1.5 Necessary communications equipment 4.1 The security of any vendor aircraft, associated vehicles and equipment used under this contract will be the responsibility of the Contractor 4.2 Aircraft shall be electrically and/or mechanically disabled by two independent security systems whenever the aircraft is unattended. Deactivating security systems shall be incorporated into preflight checklists to prevent accidental damage to the aircraft or interfere with safety of flight 4.3 Examples of Unacceptable disabling systems are: 4.3.1 Locked door/windows 4.3.2 Fenced parking areas 4.4 Protecting the aircraft from severe weather while on this contract is the Contractor’s responsibility.
