Snowplowing: 1. Contractor must furnish all snowplowing equipment. 2. Snowplowing to the following areas whenever the snowfall is 2 inches or more: driveways, employee and visitor parking areas, and back lot. 3. When snowfall is less than 2 inches and the DNR determines snowplowing is necessary, the DNR will contact the contractor prior to 8:00 p.m. the night before. 4. Snowplowing and salt/sanding must be completed by 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday on the days the building is open for normal business. 5. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide a telephone number for communication. The DNR may contact the telephone number provided to cancel or request plowing for a snowfall. 6. Snow will be pushed to areas designated by DNR project supervisor or his representative. Piles of snow should not interfere with visibility at entrances or exits of parking lots or driveways. Salt/Sand: 1. Contractor must furnish all salt/sand and equipment to spread. 2. Contractor to Salt/Sand the following after each snowplowing: Driveways, employee and visitor parking areas, and designated back lot areas. 3. Salt/sanding only be at the request of the DNR project supervisor on a call as needed basis for driveways, employee and visitor parking areas, and designated back lot areas. Other: 1. Contractor will not subcontract any part of the work. 2. Contractor is responsible for cost to repair excessive damage to sod and grass. DNR project supervisor will be the final determination if damage is excessive. 3. Contractor is responsible for all cost to repair damage caused by contractor to road and parking surfaces, structures, power and other utility lines and all other damages.
