Equipment • Provide all the necessary equipment, fuel, tools, support supplies and transportation needed to complete the work. o All equipment shall be in condition to operate to the satisfaction of the Project Supervisor. o Equipment must meet MN/DOT specifications equipment as defined in MN/DOT Spec 2123 regarding type, size, capacity, power, or dimensions. http://www.dot.state.mn.us/pre-letting/spec/ http://www.dot.state.mn.us/pre-letting/spec/2005/2021-2360.pdf • Contractor must submit a list of equipment and specifications along with bid. Form is attached. Signs and Barricade • Proper lights, signage and barricades shall be operated and maintained to protect the public from hazards resulting from the contractor's operations. Mobilization • Contractor may not charge additional mobilization costs including if the Contractor must shut down work on the project or moves equipment away from the Project and then back again. Gravel and Ditching • Blade road surface in project area to level and remove ruts. • Remove and replace culvert at the culvert location indicated at the outlet of Elbow Lake. New culvert can be picked up at the Park Rapids Forestry office. The contractor will dispose of the old culvert. • Place, compact, and shape 100 cu. yds. of Class 5 over a road distance of approximately 200’ and centered over the culvert location as flagged on site. • Beginning at the intersection of the Guyles Lake Road and Smoky Hills Rd, place, compact, and shape 1200 cu. yds of Class 5 to a 4” depth on the project area going west for approximately 5000’. • Placement of gravel must start at a location closest to the gravel pit to allow gravel compaction from hauling operation. • The gravel shall be spread evenly across the entire width only when the roadbed is dry and compact enough so that no rutting or displacement will occur. Final road surface width is 20 feet. • Forest Roads may be closed in the project area during working hours only. Road surface will be leveled and safely passable before contractor leaves the site at the end of each work day. • Blade road surface in project area from the culvert to Guyles Lake Rd. to a center crown with a road grader.
