Specifications include, but are not limited to: 11.9 acres - mow/cut all woody plants under 3" DBH, treat cut buckthorn stumps over 1" diameter in Winter 21-22. Mow same area in August/September 2022. also included stump treating any buckthorn stems over 1 inch diameter. Woody plants to be mowed/cut include plum (Prunus americana), sumac (Rhus glabra), green ash (Fraxinus pensylvanicus), prickly ash (Zanthoxylum americanum), honeysuckles (Lonicera spp.), buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica), and any other woody plant less than 3 inches diameter at breast height. Trees over 3 inched DBH are not included in this solicitation, but may be taken if the contractor desires. Woody plants will be mowed/cut within 4 inches of the ground surface. Any buckthorn stems over 1 inch diameter will be cut and the stumps treated with Garlon 4 Ultra Herbicide, Vastlan, or an equivalent herbicide that is approved by the Project Supervisor.
