The Civil Engineering Building is a seven story underground building. There is an outdoor "bowl" area leading to the 2nd floor entrance and an above-ground structure to the east of the bowl for the structures lab. There are several locations with water infiltration issues particularly throughout and adjacent to the "bowl" of the building which need to be repaired. It is anticipated that site Work improvements would be made in conjunction with waterproofing repairs (e.g. concrete stairs in need of replacement may or may not overlap with waterproofing repair locations but should be replaced regardless). While the bowl is the main focus of known issues, the design should provide a full assessment of the building envelope including windows and roofing on the structures lab. This Project is focused on levels 1-3 and will NOT be looking at levels 4-7, deep underground. Provide cost estimates for Work at each design phase. Provide two weeks for Bluebeam owner review sessions at each phase. The initial Contract will be for the preparation of documents through DD and estimates to repair the exterior envelope of the Civil Engineering Building. The selection will ultimately be for full professional services through construction based on SD and DD budget estimates.
