1.01 SUMMARY A. Section includes four (4) Flanged Coupling Adapters (FCA) and appurtenances to make the needed pipe connections as shown on the drawings or described in the specifications. B. System shall include all necessary hardware and accessories for a fully functioning system. 1.02 PERFORMANCE A. Design Pressure Rating: Unless otherwise noted, all couplings shall be designed and rated to a minimum pressure of 25 psi. B. Operating Pressure: restraint to avoid movement as installed shall be defined on the drawings or in the specifications. Price does not include pressure restraint devices. C. Water Temperature range 33 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 1.03 EXISTING PIPE DIMENSIONS A. Manufacturer shall make the couplings to connect with the existing pipes. B. Owner has made measurements as follows. 1. FCA # 1 - Softening plant inlet chamber, near Valve 209-E, Pipe Circumference: 11'- 9 1/8" (11.760 feet). a. This pipe is currently connected to a sleeve-type coupling of uncertain age. 2. FCA # 2 - Softening plant inlet chamber, near Valve 210-E, Pipe Circumference: 11'- 8 1/8" (11.677 feet). a. This pipe is currently connected to a sleeve-type coupling of uncertain age. 3. FCA # 3 - Softening plant inlet chamber, near Valve 211-E, Pipe Circumference: 11'- 10 ¼" (11.854 feet). a. This pipe is currently connected to a sleeve-type coupling of uncertain age. 4. FCA # 4 - Softening plant inlet chamber, near Valve 212-E, Pipe Circumference: 11'-8 ½" (11.708 feet). a. This pipe is currently connected to a sleeve-type coupling of uncertain age.
