The purpose of this request is to acquire an appropriate art piece for a public space. The project contains the following components: a) The size of the artwork should fit into the space above the wooden bench across from the glass and aluminum main entry doors. The artwork could have a depth of up to 3 inches. b) The desired artwork will create an inviting and welcoming space, reflective of the vitality of the diverse community in West St. Paul. c) The desired artwork will incorporate nature-themed tones, elements and materials. Abstract or realistic artwork is acceptable. d) The artwork shall be framed by the artist or shall be delivered with finished edges. e) Dakota County welcomes and is inclusive of diverse people, backgrounds, and perspectives. The County aims to reflect the community and clients it serves and fosters an equitable and respectful working environment where everyone is empowered to be their authentic selves.
