Specifications include, but are not limited to:Target population The following demographics are based on the 5,132 individuals booked in the ACF in 2013: •The average age at the time of commitment was 35; the median age was 32.1 Ages ranged from 17 to 74. •Most individuals booked into the ACF in 2013 were White (49%) and Black (42%) (The resident population includes ESL) •The average number of days served was 41 with a median of 20 •Students in the ACF education program meet ABE eligibility B. Project description Hennepin County, through the Adult Corrections Facility and the selected organization will work together to provide coordinated adult basic educational services as a consortium. In providing overall coordination, the consortium will: Staff and management • Employ consortium-wide Adult Basic Education (ABE) staff working on behalf of the consortium • Review site programming annually with Hennepin County teaching and fiscal staff for efficient delivery and cost effectiveness • The ACF and consortium management will meet bi-annually to review ACF and consortium business and information
