Specifications include, but are not limited to: The 9-1-1 Operational Coordinators Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: • Serve as the primary liaison between the ECN 9-1-1 Program and leadership within key Minnesota and national 9-1-1 committees, working groups, and at events. • Attend local and national 9-1-1 conferences and meetings. • Act as liaison between assigned PSAPs and the DPS-ECN 9-1-1 Program. • Assist PSAPs with the coordination and implementation of statewide projects related to 9-1-1. • Assist PSAP leadership with understanding and complying with the administrative and statutory requirements for the 9-1-1 Networks and 9-1-1 Systems. • Assist PSAP leadership with understanding and complying with cybersecurity requirements for the Minnesota 9-1-1 Network. • Support the “Minnesota Model” of emergency communications governance by: o Attending 9-1-1 meetings conducted by the Statewide Emergency Communications Board (SECB), the five regional Emergency Communication Boards (ECBs), and the two regional Emergency Service Boards (ESBs). o Encouraging 9-1-1 stakeholder participation in the Statewide Emergency Communication Board (SECB), the five regional Emergency Communication Boards (ECBs), and the two regional Emergency Services Boards (ESBs). • Assist the ECN Regional Interoperability Coordinators (RICs) on any region requests for needed 9-1-1 Subject Matter Expert information. • Support the ECN PSAP Support Coordinator with needed outreach and education to 9-1-1 leadership on legislative priorities that impact local and state 9-1-1 operational policies. • Support the development and implementation of a telecommunicator training and certification program.
