Specifications include, but are not limited to: Inplace culverts are not currently tied and shall be salvaged & reinstalled. This work shall include excavation, backfilling, and drilling & tying of all pipe sections. All pipe materials, labor, and equipment shall be supplied by the Contractor. • Excavation area shall be laid back at 4:1 tapers from the culverts. • Backfill the pipe using inplace materials and compact in accordance with MnDOT Spec. 2501.3D. All excess materials shall become the property of the Contractor. • Place and compact 12” of aggregate base (provided by the County) on top of backfill. • Provide final shaping and turf establishment. Turf establishment shall consist of rolled erosion prevention category 25, seed mix 25-141 (59 lbs/acre), fertilizer type 3 (200 lbs/acre), and a suitable cover crop (oat, rye, or winter wheat) (100 lbs/acre). This work shall be completed immediately following the completion of backfilling. • Final bituminous patching and shouldering to be complete by the County. • Traffic Control will be provided by the County. The roadway will be closed to thru traffic during this work.
