Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide current tracking information for transportation performance measures from previous years’ surveys, such as MnDOT’s performance in clearing snow and ice, maintaining pavement quality, providing legible signage, etc. 2. Determine Minnesota residents’ current opinions on multiple areas of interest to MnDOT. Examples will include: o Perception of trust in MnDOT’s ability to provide selected services (e.g., snow and ice removal, making roadway improvements that enhance safety. o Awareness and behavior regarding 511mn.org as a reliable source of road and travel condition information. 3. Broach new or emerging issues for MnDOT and other transportation partners. Examples will include: o Frequency of using various transportation modes for commuting o Opinions regarding communication strategies used on changeable messaging signs o Perceptions and opinions about the environmental impacts of transportation o Users’ transportation priorities o Perceptions about engaging with MnDOT and preferences for how people want to be involved in transportation planning 4. Test and analyze results. Omnibus 2019 will include an approximate 600-sample web-based survey, and 800-sample telephone survey (land and cell phones). The sample will be representative of the Minnesota population. Additionally, the successful responder will oversample with the goal of approximately 17-20% response rate from a combination of the following racial/ethnic groups: Asian, African American, Hispanic, and American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native Hawaiian/Other
