Locksmith shall propose a new key system structure and re-key all doors on the school campus to provide the following outcomes: • Assume existing key system structure is compromised by lost grand master keys • Photos of current hardware will be provided upon request. • Replacement of existing cores and hardware (except for exterior doors and specifically identified interior doors only) is not desired unless necessary due to defect or deemed worn out. • Exterior doors o Change to a restricted keyway; replacing cores and, if necessary, making recommendations for hardware replacement to satisfy this requirement. • Interior Doors o Keyed alike to the following category groups Classrooms Maintenance locations o Keyed individually Offices • Keys o Physical keys will be limited to select personnel only. General Access to building and rooms will be provided by an existing access control system. o All restricted and master keys stamped/numbered. o Master key to unlock all interior doors 3.0 INSTALLATION Locksmith will be required to change core types (exterior doors and specific interior doors only) and rekey as necessary all interior doors to achieve the above outcomes. Installation and work may be performed before, during, and after school hours, in addition to weekends. During school hours, M-F 8-4 PM, disruptions to the instructional operations of the school should be minimized whenever possible. Photos provided upon requests. For proposal response purposes, assume the following: Doors • 28 – Exterior doors changed to a restricted keyway • 13 – Change from Best SFIC (Schlage AD400) to match keyway as the rest of the school and grouped keyed as classrooms (appropriate tailpiece required). • 50 – group rekeyed as classrooms • 10 – change standard core to match keyway as the rest of the school • 15 – grouped keyed as maintenance • 40 – individually keyed as offices
