Section 1 – Network Closets and Fiber Optic Cabling 1. Final Network Closet Location has not been determined. Estimated locations included in Attachment A2. 2. Vendor to provide a full height 2 Post Network Rack (at least 7 feet tall) for each network closet (one on the 1st floor and one on the 2nd floor). 3. Vendor to provide patch panels with vertical cable management and 2U horizontal cable management for the new network rack. 4. Top of rack will be for fiber terminations. 5. Fiber Optic Cabling a. From Rutherford building 2nd floor MDF into High School 1st floor MDF. i. Fiber must be underground between buildings. ii. Approximately 500 feet total distance and approximately 250 feet underground. iii. Single mode fiber with at least 12 strands. b. From 1st floor MDF to 2nd floor IDF i. Approximate distance is 40 feet. ii. Multi-mode fiber with at least 12 strands. c. Vendor is responsible for any penetrations and firestop. Section 2 – Station Cabling 1. See Attachment A2 for approximate network drop locations. For now, assume the 2nd floor layout is the same as the 1st floor. a. Network cabling must be CAT6 or better. b. Vendor to provide structural support for any cabling (J-hooks, etc). c. Please provide an additional quantity of 10 drops to be used in locations yet to be determined. d. Vendor is responsible for any wall penetrations and fire stopping those penetrations. e. All drop locations must be clearly labeled. i. Wireless AP’s and Security Cameras must be terminated consecutively onto the patch panels. ii. Please provide optional cost to install and aim security cameras. f. See District for patch panel, cable management, and network switch layout/design. g. Network Cabling Documentation i. Upon completion, please provide as-builts for all network cabling completed in PDF format. ii. Provide any warranty information. iii. Provide all test results/certification. h. AV Cabling from Teacher Desk to Promethean Board location i. This cabling will run from two faceplates in the classroom to the promethean board. ii. HDMI, USB, 3.5mm Audio 2. CAT6 Patch Cables a. Provide blue bootless patch cables in the following quantities: i. 50x 3’ cables ii. 150x 5’ cables iii. 100x 7’ cables iv. 25x 10’ cables v. 10x 25’ cables b.
