Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State is seeking a State Hosted Custom Solution using Agile methodology and applicable Services to modernize the MDSS System. The MDSS system is close to 20 years old and has limitations due to its age and restrictions of its original scope. SOM is seeking enhancements in the following, but not exclusive list of areas: • Create a person centric system where a user can search for and view a person’s activity in the system easily and add additional cases or events to that person • Expand the system’s ability to support the outbreak or investigation process through expanded data collection and enhanced types of data collections • Improve data quality and missing data issues • Improve the ability to comprehensively search, view, report on, and export all data elements from the system • Remove the delay, inaccuracy, and inefficiency of the deduplication queue – • Enhance the ability of administrative level users to identify and fix issues that arise – new conditions, misreading of electronic data, changes to forms and required fields • Enhance the ability to view incoming messages and troubleshoot problems importing them • Improve reporting and exporting, including improved GIS capabilities. • Receive and incorporate eCRs into a person’s record • Allow for greater user customization and more options to fit individual workflows, including the availability of dashboards that are customizable per user type • Enhance interoperability with external systems such as EDRS, MPI, MCIR, etc. • Allow for greater user control of the creation and implementation of forms • Allow system users to communicate with each other and perform outreach to cases and contacts • Enhance alerting capabilities to identify areas of concern or issues that need rapid attention • Enhance interoperability and data importation from other IT systems.
