Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide professional design (architectural and engineering) and construction administration services for assessment of existing conditions and alterations to the existing Lake Huron and Lake Erie Lodges at the Ralph A. Mac Mullan Conference Center. The alterations will consist of those required to meet barrier free design requirements of 1966 Public Act 1, the current Michigan Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings, and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. The existing buildings were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and can be considered historic. Interior alterations are not largely restricted by historic structure requirements, but those to the exterior would be subject to such requirements. The alterations shall also include an assessment of the existing HVAC systems (furnaces), The furnaces are older and require frequent service, and are highly inefficient in their energy use. The professional services contractor shall provide design and construction administration services for phases 100, 300, 500, 600, and 700.
