I. Tennis Court Renovation: a. Remove approximately 12,960 SF of existing asphalt from the tennis court area. Salvage base for n the new court. b. Install approximately 12,960 SF (108‘ l x 120‘ w) total area of asphalt for the tennis court area, 4” thick on compacted 6” compacted gravel base as per GSD details. Installation is to be performed according to manufacturer and standard GSD specifications and details. c. Install two (2) tennis kits and they be Bison model #TN-10 Competition Tennis System or approval equal, with two (2) nets and they shall be Bison model #TN-10-N or approval equal. Installation is to be performed according to manufacturer and standard GSD specifications and details. d. Apply acrylic color surface system to asphalt surface as per layout and court detail. Application is to be performed according to manufacturer and GSD specifications and details. e. Apply standard light blue pickleball striping to acrylic color surface per GSD specifications and details. II. Walking Paths & Connectivity a. Contractor to stake or field mark proposed concrete and asphalt work as described on document. Locate corners or edges of proposed slabs, and centerlines of proposed walks. Confirm markings and staking with City Representative for approval prior to any excavation. Adjust locations and markings as directed to gain acceptance. b. Excavation shall be to the limits and depths required per document and accepted field markings, and construction details. Clean topsoil having no debris larger than 1.5” in any direction, may be salvaged and stockpiled onsite for reuse. Remove and dispose of undesirable soil and debris at an offsite location acceptable to the City Representative. i. Excavate approximately 6,000 SF (1,000 l ‘ x 6’ w‘) total area for concrete walkways, 8” deep as per standard GSD specifications and details. ii. Install approximately 6,000 SF (1,000’ l x 6’ w) of concrete walkways as per Exhibit A. Verify all walkway locations with City Representative prior to construction. iii. Excavate approximately 68,000 SF (8,500‘ l x 8‘ w) total area for asphalt walking path, 9” deep as per GSD specifications and details. iv. Install approximately 68,000 SF (8,500‘ l x 8‘ w) of asphalt walkway as per Exhibit A. Verify all walkway locations with City Representative prior to construction. Installation to be performed according to GSD specifications and details. III. Universal Playground (Allowance $750,000) a. Remove existing concrete playground border including 3500 SF of playground surfacing and all footings. Properly dispose of removed materials and debris offsite at a facility acceptable to the City Representative. b. Determine if the playground base material is salvageable. If so, reuse base for new playground area. c. Excavate approximately 3500 SF of new playground area, 16” deep as per GSD specifications and details. d. Provide and install play equipment, selection of playground shall be determined by the City Representative. Type of playground safety surfacing determined by City Representative. Playground layout(s) to be verified with the City Representative prior to construction. e. Playground installation shall include a drainage system per GSD and manufacturer specs and details. Verify location with City Representative. Ensure the drainage system does not interfere with playground footings and standard EWF/PIP depth, to be maintained for safety. f. Installation of concrete, play equipment, and safety surfacing to be performed according to manufacturer’s and GSD specifications and details. g. Layout of posts and other major components shall be in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and as detailed on plans as required to meet the required fall zone clearance space around each play equipment. All slide to face north. Posts shall be in concrete footings as called for in manufacturer instructions, 48” minimum. Concrete shall be allowed to cure sufficiently before commencing assembly of other components. h. Assemble and install play equipment components and items as specified and in accordance with manufacturers written instructions. i. Install components in the sequence as recommended by manufacturer j. Install play structures and other elements, including wear mats. k. Variations from the installation indicated must be approved by the City Representative. l. Variations from the installation indicated and all costs for removal and replacement will be at the complete and total responsibility of the contractor. m. All installations must also include a letter from the successful bidder stating that all play equipment meets all applicable standards set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the American Society for Testing and Materials, AFTER installation.
