Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.2 Site Preparation 2.2.1 County shall remove curb-stops along south side of parking lot before Contractor commences work if they have not already been removed. 2.3 Concrete Removal 2.3.1 Sawcut concrete as indicated in Figure 1 and remove sloped section of concrete between sawcut and existing pavement. 2.4 Subbase and Grade Preparation 2.4.1 Saw cut asphalt at boundaries of area to be resurfaced as shown and described in Exhibit A – Grading, Paving and Joint Plan. 2.4.2 Cold mill asphalt down to the subbase (approximately 3-4” of depth) with a gradation that approximates that of 22A material. 2.4.3 Spread and compact the milled asphalt to add to the subbase and achieve the sloping and drainage indicated in Exhibit A. 2.4.4 Where subbase abuts existing pavement or concrete, (areas A, B, C, D and E as shown in Exhibit A – Grading, Paving and Joint Plan), subbase must generally be graded approximately 3.5 inches below the grade of the existing pavement or concrete so that when laid, the asphalt finish course is even with the grade of the existing adjacent pavement or concrete unless otherwise indicated in Exhibit A.
