Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Big Rapids is requesting qualifications from licensed and qualified Insurance Brokers and/or Agents (hereafter “Broker/Agent) for the purpose of providing independent, professional Broker/Agent Services to complete various tasks associated with the management and administration of The City of Big Rapids’ employee benefit plans. These services will include but are not limited to benefit plan vendor management, vendor bidding for insurance and administrative services, compliance assistance including COBRA, HIPAA, financial analysis, union negotiation support, HITECH, limited Section 125 FSA, ACA reporting and drafting of employee communication materials. The Broker/Agent must have a proven track record of successfully providing the outlined “Scope of Services” for employers of comparable size and complexity and will work directly with the City Human Resources Coordinator in reviewing, structuring, selecting and implementing the employee benefits plan.
