Specifications include, but are not limited to: Professional services are sought to implement a barcode scanner system through Cityworks for three City stockrooms. The City desires a vendor with a minimum of five years of experience implementing barcode scanner systems. The vendor must be able to demonstrate success with software and hardware solutions through client references. In addition, the vendor must be able to provide proof of technical expertise and completion of a successful implementation of the barcode scanning system with Cityworks. The City intends for this Request for Proposals to result in a contract for the barcode scanner implementation project. The City may also enter into a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options for the purchase of additional equipment. The City desires professional and technical expertise with barcode scanning technologies. The City desires to connect existing barcode scanning equipment to its Cityworks Storeroom software. The City has purchased an API license for this use. Upon implementation, the City requires the following deliverables: Ability to issue material to an employee, work order, and/or account code Ability to receive material from a requisition, employee, or work order Ability to transfer material from one location to another Audit to conduct cycle counts Search options available to lookup an item or location Proposed fees herein shall include all costs associated with labor, scheduling, mobilization, drive/travel time, per diems, profit, and all other miscellaneous costs borne by the Contractor throughout the life of the contract. No additional costs shall be recognized or allowed without prior written agreement with the City. It is the intent of the City to select based on proposed qualifications, capabilities, solution, and anticipated costs. All services provided shall meet or exceed industry standards. The Contractor shall provide supervision for quality control and the supervision of Contractor’s employees performing the work. Awarded Contractor shall ensure that professional services provided are technically correct. Current Equipment: Intermec Barcode Scanners – 2 Zebra ZT230 Label Printer – 1 The City desires to purchase additional barcode scanners and printers. The bidder shall identify, itemize, and price recommended barcode scanners and printers. The City desires the option of a variety of scanners in various sizes including the size of a cell phone. The City also desires the ability to use the barcode scanning system through a cell phone and/or app.
