The scope of the work will be varied as needed and as initiatives change. Below is a list of typical services required under this contract, including but not limited to the following: • Investigation and documentation of the existing systems and services. • Provide consensus and the most cost-effective technical solutions that meet the MDOC current and future needs while solving operational system reliability, maintenance, and governance issues on an interagency basis. • Develop engineering discipline specific standards along with expertise to support uniformity and the installation of consistent, highly available, high-performance communications infrastructure on capital projects. • Identify and document engineering, construction practices as well as systemization deliverables. • Serve as the internal technical design expert on assigned projects and collaborate cross-functionally with peers on integrated projects. • Supports project requirements including basis-of design narratives, opinions-of-probable-costs estimates, pathway drawings, low voltage device and telecommunications and security plan drawings, systems single line drawings and technical specifications. • Coordinate with project design partners, MDOC, DTMB – DCD, and DTMB – IT to identify and document systems design requirements. • Coordinate with manufacturers to identify systems design options. • Ensure that deliverables meet required codes and quality assurance standards. • Share knowledge with project design partners by serving as a trainer and mentor. • Update and maintain MDOC technical specifications, drawing and standards. • Schedule, organize and manage a records implementation plan. • Schedule and keep minutes of coordination meetings. • Track and manage schedules including critical dates, critical tasks, critical paths, resources, milestones, and budgets. • Identifies and coordinates with affected groups for the resolution to conflicts and obstructions encountered during the process. • Coordinates with staff and committees on the implementation process.
