The Contractor must maintain parking areas and sidewalks to a condition free of snow and ice during winter events. The Contractor is expected to monitor conditions and respond automatically when snowfalls or Icy/slippery conditions exist. Due to the nature of this service, inability to perform the contract activities will not be accepted. Equipment Failure or Lack of Personnel WILL NOT BE acceptable reasons for not providing contract activities. MDOT reserves the right to use other resources to fulfill stated contract activities. The Contractor must provide all management, supervision, personnel, training and equipment required to satisfactorily perform all winter maintenance service required in the locations described, in the manner and the frequencies set forth in the following contract activities and otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work as set forth below.
