Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall clean specified windows utilizing industry standards. The contractor will work with the facility manager to schedule and plan all work to reduce interference with building occupants. Levels of cleaning. All windows cleaned shall be streak and smudge free upon completion of work. Exterior Cleaning cannot be done when raining. All exterior cleaning must be done on non-rainy days. Materials. The contractor shall provide all cleaning materials used to execute the window cleaning contract. The contractor will minimize use of toxic or hazardous cleaning solutions. Contractor shall provide a list of cleaning materials and provide MSDS’s. Equipment. The contractor shall provide all cleaning tools necessary to clean the various windows. Ladders, lifts or swing stages shall be provided by the contractor. All equipment shall be removed from the site upon completion of the scheduled work. There will not be storage for any climbing or lifting equipment. The contractor shall follow OSHA and MIOSHA regulations when using ladders, lifts, or swing stages. Damage. Contractor will utilize industry standards to protect building roofs, windows, exterior walls and landscaping from damage while performing window cleaning. Care must be taken to minimize disturbing materials on desks and in offices. Owner Furnished services. The contractor may use refuse containers provided on the various sites. Utilize dumpsters for normal work debris. Do not dispose of hazardous materials in dumpsters or drains. Contractor will be permitted to use electric, water, and sewage utilities to perform their work. Hours of operation. The normal building hours of operation are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Buildings will be closed on the following public holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
