Vendors shall provide the following services for each facility: a. Exterior Window Cleaning • Clean all exterior glass surfaces: canopy glass, curtain walls, skylights, upper transom and clerestory windows, storefront glazing, and entrance glass. • Remove environmental deposits: dust, bird droppings, smudges, and grime. • Perform washing using proper solutions, squeegees, scrapers as needed, and spot-treatment green cleaning chemicals safe for building surfaces. b. Interior Window Cleaning • Clean interior glass in lobby, waiting areas, operator lounges, retail storefronts, office windows, and restroom partitions. • Include interior side of entrance and storefront glass. c. Frequency • Base bid: Quarterly service (4 times/year) • Alternate #1: Biannual (2 times/year) pricing d. Access & Safety • Use safe-access methods: water-fed poles, scaffold, lift, or rope-access (as appropriate). • Provide certified fall protection, harnesses, and OSHA-trained operators. • Maintain pedestrian control during service within high-traffic transit facilities. e. Protection & Cleanup • Protect adjacent surfaces (floors, signage, mechanical equipment). • Leave all cleaned areas free of runoff, streaks, or debris. • Properly dispose waste per City guidelines. f. Quality & Inspection • Submit a quality control inspection report after each visit. • Suppliers must be fully insured and licensed to operate in Detroit. • Provide references for at least three similar transit or public facility projects.
