Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor must take water samples from five locations at the Newberry Correctional Facility located at 13747 E. County Road, Newberry, MI 49868. The five locations are wells #4, #5, #6, ground shop, all located outside the secure perimeter of the facility, and food service, located inside the secure perimeter of the facility. The Contractor must provide Contract Activities during the State-MDOC’s normal maintenance working hours Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The Contractor must collect water samples and test for chlorine and phosphate every day of the week, Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and State of Michigan holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Even Years Election Days, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving-two days, Christmas-two days, and New Year’s Eve). The Contractor must collect water samples and test for bacteria at least monthly from the ground shop and food service and from wells 4, 5, and 6. The Contractor must test or have the water samples tested, and provide a copy of test results to the State-MDOC and the State-MDEQ. Annually collect and test all water samples as required by the State of Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) monitoring schedule. The Contractor must notify the Contract Manager immediately if any issues are identified that need to be addressed.
