RFP goals of this RFP are to: • Provide 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps of connectivity between school districts in Wayne County to data services including Internet provided by Wayne RESA. It is anticipated that all districts will move to a 10 Gbps connection speed connecting back to Wayne RESA within the proposed wide area network solution, as such, all proposals are required include an upgrade path from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps. o Appendix A lists school districts requiring service o Service would replace existing leased lit AT&T ASE fiber services o Ideally, service would be provided at an existing school district head-end location as noted in Appendix A. Other options can be proposed if it is more cost effective o Livonia Public Schools Administration Office at 15125 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154 is an alternate data center location that can be used as a cost effective connectivity option. o Proposals are encouraged to leverage existing K12 school district fiber assets to achieve a cost-effective Wide Area Network o Leverage existing school district Vendor provided fiber solutions including: ▪ Grosse Pointe Public Schools Everstream WAN project that interconnects school district buildings with the Everstream Detroit Head-End at Wayne State University. • Vendor to provide all costs associated with connecting to this facility. • See Appendix F for route map (.KMZ Files). ▪ Michigan State Education Network, MISEN, fiber 123Net fiber IRU that interconnects Wayne RESA Education Center, Detroit Public Schools Community District, Detroit School of Arts High School, Detroit Internet Exchange in Southfield, and Oakland Schools in Waterford...
