This bid consists of supplying, loading, and delivery of 1,500 tons of Winter Street Sand. Prior to a Notice to Proceed an independent laboratory chosen by the City of Ironwood shall verify the material meets specifications. Material testing will also be required on a random basis. Material testing costs will be paid by the City of Ironwood. All failed samples and repeat samples shall be paid by the contractor. The approved contractor shall use either a certified scale or calibrate and verify their bucket scale with a certified scale at the beginning of the job and provide the City with verification of the calibration. Any cost associated with utilizing or calibrating with a certified scale shall be included in the bid price. An individual trip ticket for each load shall be provided and delivered to the Department of Public Works garage daily. Delivery shall be completed by November 1, 2024, with no deliveries on weekends.
