Currently, submenus are counter-intuitively locatedon the right side of the page; page layout does not present information in anengaging manner; nor do they market the city well. Ypsilanti seeks to improvenavigation via dropdown menus that clearly identify focus headers. Theseheaders should provide a concise yet comprehensive package of information.Aesthetically, the current site fails to reflect the culture and assets of Ypsilanti.The template of the pages should be dynamic; capturing Ypsilanti as a vibrantand walkable city that offers downtown living, rich historic districts, museums,and entertainment districts such as Depot Town and the Michigan Avenuecorridor.Content Management System (CMS):Our current content management system is Zope. The city seeks a CMS thatinvolves updated relevant modules, multiple editing functions, distinct layers ofpermissions, and improved file integration and management systems.
