The Kent County Purchasing Division on behalf of Tyrone Township, is soliciting bids for a multifaceted project that includes Asbestos Removal/Disposal, Building Demolition, Site Clearance, New Parking Lot Construction, and Playground installation located at 106 N. Main Street, Kent City. Funding is provided in part through a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is therefore subject to Buy America Preferences requiring domestic content procurement of iron, steel, construction materials, and manufactured products as set forth in the Build America, Buy America Act (Appendix F). Removal of identified asbestos-containing material must be completed within 90 days of the award by a certified asbestos removal contractor in coordination with TRC Environmental Corporation, who will observe and document the removal. The allowable on-site demolition and construction period for this project is 120 consecutive days from the start of the demolition activity, with all project activity completed by May 31, 2025.
