Architectural, HVAC, and Electrical work for office renovations and coordination with owner’s furniture and wall panel systems on the 1st floor of the Treasury/Ops Center in Dimondale, Michigan for the Department of Treasury. Construction documents have been developed by Hobbs+Black Architects and their consultants. A new business suite will occupy part of the existing 1st floor of the building. No changes to the occupancy type, existing egress, or existing facilities will occur. The new space will have low height cubicles. The offices will be created with demountable furniture walls that stop at the ceiling. Lighting will be relocated as necessary to accommodate the new demountable furniture walls. Minor mechanical updates will be required at the new demountable furniture offices. Minor updates to existing power will be required for the new furniture locations. Minor rework of the existing sprinkler heads will occur; sprinkler heads to be relocated under separate contract. Building permits shall be obtained through LARA. Construction shall integrate the installation of new office partitions and workstations provided and installed by the State of Michigan and DBI, Inc. of Lansing. The General Contractor shall work to coordinate installation of furniture with new infrastructure design in the Construction Documents. Work will include, but not be limited to, code and barrier-free/ADA compliance, removal and re-installation of existing ceiling pads (maintaining existing grid) and lights throughout the space, adjustment and modifications to the HVAC system, general power and data for office spaces and connections to systems furniture, through accessible flooring system.
