Stand 177: Clearcut stand with a 2" spec and manage for aspen regeneration. Leave retention in the form of a few scattered islands. Apply drumming log spec to increase grouse habitat. Focus retention in areas with a higher oak component if possible. Apply drumming log spec to increase grouse habitat. Stand 188: Shelterwood / thin stand down to an average of 50 BA. Remove all poor formed and suppressed oak. Remove much of the black oak component except where a heavy crowned or cavity tree exist. Focus growth on dominant white pine and large crowned white oak.
