Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide staff for booking, processing, housing, monitoring, and custodial care of detainees 247/365. • Provide custody staff, including but not limited to corrections officers, housing officers, shift command positions, administrative duties adequate for the intake, custody, placement, secure housing and feeding of up to 200 arrestees (150 males and 50 females) age 18 and older 247/365 on behalf of DPD. Female arrestees shall be housed separately. • Provide complete oversight of facility operations including third party vendors that may access the detention facility. • Provide security services for the interior of the facility. • Provide staff to process the booking of detainees through the jail management system (JMS) to include the following: o Receive radio communications on dedicated channel to prepare name candidating. The information is conveyed to a 24/7 records desk. Upon receipt of the positive name candidating, the process for booking begins. o Grant controlled access to facility. o Conduct thorough custodial search of detainee and all property in detainee's possession. - Detainees are only authorized to wear one (1) layer of clothing - additional layers shall be placed in property. o Place found property into property safekeeping with detailed record of property. - If detainee property includes currency - provide a cash ticket receipt. - Secure property in designated area for duration of detention. o If narcotics, weapons or other contraband are lo9ated during the search of a detainee, notification shall be made immediately, and the contraband turned over to the arresting officers ·escorting the detainee. o Conduct initial medical evaluation screening. o Enter detainee personal information into JMS o Fingerprint all detainees. o Take detainee photographs and upload to JMS. o Ensure the collection of DNA in accordance with MCL 750.520m(1). • Provide staff to safely control movement of arrestees, staff and visitors without jeopardizing the integrity of the premises. • Detainees with medical / hospital clearance shall be admitted and monitored/treated as recommended by the doctor. • Ensure secure storage of detainee medication and records. • Provide staff to conduct video arraignments 2X daily for detainees. o Transporting detainees from cells to holding areas to arraignment area maintaining constant custody and care and control of detainees
