The Contractor must have been in the snow plowing business a minimum five (5) consecutive years. • Be available to work seven (7) days a week, 24 hours a day, including State Holidays during the Winter Season, commencing on November 1st and ending on April 30th . • The Contractor will obey all traffic regulations, laws, rules of the road and requirements of this policy at all times during a snowplowing event. • The Contractor must have valid drivers, licenses, without restriction, for the vehicle/equipment they are operating during a snowplowing event. • The contractor will supply all labor, equipment, sand, salt and calcium chloride products to successfully complete this task. • After contract award, Contractors must maintain the professional qualifications, certifications and licenses required in the awarded categories. CATA has final authority in determining whether the information and documentation provided by the Proposer is sufficient evidence of staff qualifications, certifications and licenses for the purposes of this contract. • All snow & ice equipment shall be equipped with a reverse signal alarm that is audible above the surrounding noise level. All vehicles shall be equipped with safety lights of strobe, LED, or rotating type, mounted to be visible from 360 degrees. The safety lights are required in addition to the vehicle’s normal operating and hazard lights. • Each driver/operator shall wear a reflectorized safety vest meeting the requirements of the American National Standards Institute/International Safety Equipment Association (ANSI/ISEA) any time the driver/operator is outside the vehicle. • Safety shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. • Certificate of insurance must accompany the proposal.
