A. Roads, Loading Docks, Carports and Parking Areas: Streets will be plowed the entirelength and width of the paved area (with a "curb" border left to protect against lawn damage)when accumulations exceed 1.5". Plowing will be performed in a way as to avoid blockingparking spaces, mail boxes, carports, fire hydrants, semi-trailers, drains and sidewalks as theyapply. All efforts shall be made to avoid piling snow and obstructing views at entrances andcorners.b. Fire Hydrants and Drains: All fire hydrants will be cleared of snow and be visible at alltimes. All drains, sewers and catch basins shall be kept free of snow and ice to allow properdrainage. Prior to the season, fire hydrants and drains will be marked with stakes by theContractor at no additional cost.c. Loading Docks and Delivery Doors: The paved areas will be plowed their entire length andwithin 12 inches of the width (to help prevent damage). Excess snow by delivery doors willbe hand shoveled.d. Dumpsters: All snow and ice will be cleared to allow full access to front and sides. In theevent there is a gate, area must be cleared to provide full swing of gate. In the event there arestairs accessing the dumpster area the stairs will be shoveled and de-iced.e. Follow-Up and Inspection: The Contractor will inspect the work following a snow fall toinsure proper clearing of all accumulations. The Contractor will also inspect the workregularly and adjust accumulated snow piles as a result of drifting and to provide space forfuture snow build-up. If additional equipment is required and costs are to be incurred by theDistrict, the District must be notified in writing and approval must be granted prior to start No additional specifications were given.
