Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Bidders are requested to submit a snow removal bid for the following: • Collins parking lots and drives; • Public Library parking lots and drives; • High School’s parking lots and drives; • “Bus only” road; • Adult and Community Education Center’s parking lots and drives; 2. If awarded the bid, a certificate/proof of insurance must be submitted for the amounts/coverage of $250,000/$500,000 bodily injury; $100,000 property damage, along with workers compensation insurance.; 3. All parking lots and drives shall be clear of snow by 6:30 a.m.; 4. All entrances and exits shall be kept clear of snow after county truck clears M-55. Emphasis on the hours between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; 5. Awarded contractor shall be on call 24/7.; 6. Snow must be moved far enough back at each site to provide full use of parking areas for buses and automobiles.; 7. Bids must be submitted in terms of dollars per unit/per hour/seasonal bid/per plow bid.; 8. Bidders must have access and provide the following equipment: • Sand truck capable of covering the parking lots in a timely matter.; • Front end loader capable of moving large piles of snow.; • Grader or equivalent with blade and hydraulic or gear down pressure.; • Ample plow trucks to clear lots in a timely fashion.; • Any damages to school property shall be restored by the contractor in a timely manner. Including, but not limited to, sod, fencing, trees/shrubs, sprinkler heads, light poles, etc.; 9. The Houghton Lake Community School Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.; 10. All interested bidders are urged to personally examine school site.
