A. Description: To supply and haul sleet sand to locations in Ionia County as directed by the Road Supervisor. The sleet sand shall be in accordance with Section 902 of the Standard Specifications for Construction. B. Materials and Testing: 1. Material shall be 2NS aggregate conforming to Table 902-4. Sieve Analysis, Total Percent Passing 2NS 3/8” No. 4 No. 8 No. 16 No. 30 No. 50 No. 100 LbW 100 95-100 65-95 35-75 20-55 10-30 0-10 0-3.0 2. The contractor is responsible for the initial testing of the material and copies of these tests shall be provided to the Ionia County Road Department. These tests shall be completed by a certified aggregate inspector, and the costs of these tests shall be borne by the contractor. 3. The Ionia County Road Department reserves the right to conduct assurance tests of the delivered material or on-site material. This testing shall be either by the ICRD, or an independent testing company chosen by the ICRD. Costs of this testing shall be borne by the ICRD.
