Changing Rooms / Space • Uni-sex changing rooms accessed from outside of, or separate entrance from, the toilet facility spaces. • Amenities to include durable bench that is smooth, non-porous, and free of crevices for ease of cleaning and disinfecting, hook, shelf, hand rail, and trash can. • Access to hose hookup nearby for ease of spraying out and cleaning changing rooms. Outdoor Showers / Sand Rinse Station • Easy to use, attractive outdoor showers or rinse station. • Consider plumbing, maintenance, and winterization when determining location and design of outdoor showers. • Must be easy for staff to remove sand around showers. Universal Design and Accessibility • All project scope items to be built in a manner that are accessible, safe and welcoming to everyone, without requiring any special adaptations or modifications.
