Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State is seeking either a Contractor Hosted or State Hosted Software Solution and applicable Services to provide the State of Michigan (SOM) a Secure Service Edge (SSE) framework Solution supporting four (4) core technology components (Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Firewall as a Service (FWaaS), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)) meeting the SOM requirement, with the end result addressing an “always on” (uptime is 99.999%) security system for remote workstations. The State is seeking to optimize the routing of Internet-sourced traffic coming into a State datacenter (cloud-hosted or on-premises) and into high-capacity Internet exchanges and points of presence (POP). The SSE provider should be able to provide service from multiple geographic zones within the United States borders, preferably with hosted services located in major provider data centers (e.g. Amazon AWS, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
