This project will revitalize Batterbee Park to make it safer and more inclusive of serving its community members by adding community-requested amenities and improving existing equipment and activities. As the only park in the City, it will continue to serve as a space for recreation and community gathering. Project to include: Restrooms: 2 double stall restrooms to include a small closet area for storage; New pavilion: 40x24; Walking path to include activity & historical signs around the path Additional playground equipment and installation that meets the following: *Design must include physical fitness through the six essential elements of play (swinging, spinning, sliding, climbing, balancing and brachiating); *Must be a “Play On!” National Demonstration Site; and *Must include the direct bolt system.
