The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB) is soliciting proposals from qualified Registered Dietitians to provide culturally relevant nutrition education services in support of the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). This includes hands-on teaching, recipe development, data entry, and content support that reinforces healthy food use within the LTBB Tribal community. The consultant will also assist with recipe and nutrition data integration into SYGNAL, the FDPIR inventory and meal planning system A. Develop culturally relevant nutrition education materials, including recipes and educational handouts utilizing USDA Foods (including fresh produce) from the FDPIR food package. B. Conduct in-person or virtual nutrition education sessions, such as cooking demonstrations or hands-on workshops, at the LTBB Food Distribution Center located at 825 Charlevoix Ave. Unit 4, Petoskey Michigan, up to two (2) days per month, and one (1) day per month offsite at a designated community location to expand access and the reach of FDPIR nutrition education. Travel and mileage for the offsite location will be considered part of the consultant’s hourly rate community. C. Enter nutrition and recipe data into the SYGNAL inventory system/app, ensuring accuracy in nutrient profiles and ingredient details. D. Support planning and execution of nutrition education evaluations in coordination with program staff. E. Ensure that all educational efforts are consistent with USDA’s Dietary Guidelines and FDPIR program guidance
