ASBESTOS ABATEMENT Remove and dispose of all insulation and materials according to Michigan State and Federal Laws and Regulations. Attic to be left clean and ready for new insulation. Work must be performed by certified asbestos abatement contractor. FURNACE 96+ GAS - REPLACE EXISTING Use the most recent version of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Manual J residential load calculation tool available at www.acca.org/tech/manualj (calculate the load with manual J based on the post rehab building envelope), and use the most recent version of ACCA's Manual S for equipment selection. Provide both Manual J and S reports to the Owner and Kent County for review and approval prior to installation. Remove existing furnace, recycle all metal components and dispose of all other materials in a code legal dump. Install a 96+ gas fired forced air furnace with minimum AFUE rating of 96% on 2" patio block to existing ductwork and gas line.
